Uh oh. Time for a major How’d He Do That demo.

Damon Harmon will come up from Cumberland and turn a femisphere.

October 11, 2008
This is a Saturday demo. It begins at 9 AM

Keith Tompkins from Tivoli, New York is coming to town.

He’ll be discussing the design and fabrication of spiral forms.
This will include a
demonstration of the turning of his “rose form” as depicted
on page 44 of the Summer 2008 issue of American Woodturner Magazine.

Who’s it gonna be?

December 17, 2008

Annual Potluck Christmas Party.
No snow cancellations allowed!

January 17th
(or the 24th), 2009
This is a Saturday demo. It begins at 9 AM

Johannes Michelsen is coming over from Manchester, Vermont
and will be making a couple of his world famous hats.

February 14, 2009
This is a Saturday demo. It begins at 9 AM

Looks like Ralph Tursini from Cambridge, Vermont is going to swing over
our way and put on (what sounds like) a highly informative demo. He’ll be extracting a bowl from a green log and taking it all the way to completion in
one fell swoop. Along the way, he’ll discuss chucking methods, grain alignment, sanding green wood, and a whole lot more, I expect.

How about another tag team event?

Unless specified otherwise in advance, the club meets every third Wednesday of the month throughout the year; except for July and August when there are no meetings. Our members gather at 6:30 PM for Show & Tell photography, coffee and donuts. A short business meeting and the scheduled demo typically follow this at 7 PM.

All meetings are held in the woodworking shop at Erskine Academy in South China, Maine.
